RULES anD REGULATIONS
1. Membership is by blood or marriage.
2. Dues are $80 per household per year and $90 per household with children.
3. Dues must be paid by the 15th of May. If dues are ot paid, you may not be counted nor may you receive any monetary rewards. You have no voice and you have no vote.
4. All monies sent in are to be used to cover the expenses of our Main Day.
5. Our reunion is celebrated on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with Saturday being the Main Day.
6. Our reunion is held the third weekend of July each year. After the 10th year, we will discuss going to alternate years.
7. A mass meeting will be held each year. A treasurer report is to be given to the mass body each during the business meeting. Meeting is to be conducted prior to the meal on the Main Day.
8. The Parent Body Office consists of a President (*President only must be blood descendant), Vice President, and a Secretary, and a Treasurer.
9. A new President is elected each year at the Mass Business Meeting. The President then selects their cabinet for approval of the mass body.
10. Our host is selected each year during our Mass Business Meeting. You must be present in order to bid on taking the reunion to your city or state.
11. The reunion will return to Arkansas every five years starting in 1983.
12. Each year our hosts are presented a Host Trophy.
13. The Traveling Trophy is to be presented to the Clan with the most descendants present at the reunion. The winning Clan is responsible for the upkeep of the trophy.
14. Clans are classified by the first names of Ma and Pa’s children. Clan colors or uniforms are the responsibility of the Clan.
15. Clan colors are worn on the Main Day ( Saturday) of the family reunion.
16. Once colors have been selected and logged by a Clan, those colors belong to that Clan forever.
17. An allotment of $300 was voted in for souvenirs.
18. An allowance of $200 is given for Secretarial expenses.
19. Local chapters should be formed in various cities.
20. A list of your Chapter Officers should be sent to the Parent Body Secretary.
21. Any changes in the By-Laws must be voted on at the Mass Business Meeting.
22. Our President has the authority to make necessary decisions in between Mass Meetings.
23. The President OR Vice President must be present at the Forum Meeting.
24. The office of Treasury (held by Mary Lou Bolden) shall be stationary..
25. “Pass the Hat” in order to collect monies for high school graduates attending reunion.
26. Each chapter may sale products for fund raisers with a maximum price of $5.
27. The Mass Treasurer will contribute $500 to the host each year for Friday evening expenses. (This $500.00 has been suspended until further notice).
28. An allotment of $150 will be given for the maintenance of the Family Web Page - www.biggsmcclainfamilyreunion.org
